Organizational Readiness Check

You’ve already invested in your people. Now take a few minutes to see how the pieces fit together.

This free, confidential Wellness Readiness Check will help you recognize what’s working, where opportunities may exist, and where a closer look could be valuable.

What This Is

Five Minutes. Six Domains. A Clearer Picture.

The Organizational Readiness Check is a brief self-assessment designed to help public-safety leaders get a snapshot of their organization’s current psychological readiness. It is not a diagnostic tool — it’s a starting point. A way to surface strengths, identify possible gaps, and notice where uncertainty itself might be telling you something.

Answer approximately 22 questions across six readiness domains. Your results are immediate and private.

The Six Readiness Domains

The Readiness Check evaluates your organization across six domains that together form the foundation of sustainable psychological readiness:

Leadership & Culture

Does leadership actively champion psychological readiness as an operational priority?

Peer Support & Internal Resources

Are internal support systems in place, trusted, and actually used?

Behavioral Health Integration

Are clinical and behavioral-health resources accessible, coordinated, and connected to the organization?

Training & Education

Are personnel receiving meaningful, ongoing preparation for the psychological demands of the job?

Family & Recruit Preparation

Are families and new personnel being prepared before crisis, not after?

Measurement & Sustainability

Can your organization demonstrate that its efforts are working — and that they’ll last?

Understanding Your Results

For each domain, your responses will indicate one of three maturity levels:

ESTABLISHED

Effort is underway but may be incomplete, inconsistent, or not yet fully trusted. There is a foundation to build on — the question is whether the organization is moving intentionally or just reacting.

DEVELOPING

This domain reflects deliberate effort and organizational investment. Resources are in place, connected, and showing results. The priority is to sustain and strengthen what’s working.

OPPORTUNITY

Note on UNSURE Responses: If you’re uncertain about a question, that’s worth paying attention to. Uncertainty often reveals communication gaps, awareness gaps, or areas where no one has been asked to look closely. “I don’t know” is an honest and useful answer.

This domain has significant room for growth. Resources may be absent, fragmented, or unknown to the people they’re meant to serve. This is not a failure — it’s a clear starting point.

Your Results Are a Starting Point — Not a Verdict

The Readiness Check gives you a snapshot. It helps you see where your organization may be strong, where it may have room to grow, and where you might not have enough information to answer confidently. If your results raise questions — or confirm what you already suspected — FRRN can help you take the next step. A comprehensive organizational assessment goes deeper: structured interviews, stakeholder input, data analysis, and a practical roadmap organized around what to KEEP, STRENGTHEN, BUILD, INTEGRATE, and MEASURE. No pressure. No sales pitch. Just a conversation about what you’re seeing and what it might mean.
